When finance is required for a property that will be used for business purposes, particularly if the property does not incorporate a dwelling, this will normally be arranged on a commercial basis.

Every case is individual. We use major banks, building societies and other specialist lenders, each having their own lending criteria and preferred property sectors.

Semi commercial
The property to be financed also includes a residential element; normally the property will be the main residence of the applicants as well as their business, for example a livery yard, specialist medical practice or bed
and breakfast.

Wherever possible we will arrange finance on a residential basis, therefore achieving a lower rate of interest than would be obtained through commercial funding. However it can be more tax efficient to use commercial finance sometimes, normally on grounds of tax efficiency.
